Panache Bengals is a small cattery located in New York in the beautiful Hudson Valley. We raise outstanding Bengal kittens in our home. We are a small cattery so we can focus on one litter at a time, thus giving us the time needed for each kittens care, love and attention they need when young. Our kittens are well socialized when placed in their new homes. We feed a nutritionally balanced raw chicken diet. All kittens will have been veterinarian checked, vaccinated three times, dewormed, neutered or spayed, and nails clipped before leaving for their new home. Leopard like in appearance Bengals are domestic cats with sweet dispositions. We strive to breed healthy, gorgeous Bengal kittens with great temperaments.
To reserve a kitten it's on a first come basis. A deposit of $300 is required to hold a kitten from a litter. I do not take deposits until kittens are born. Kitten selection is done at 8-10 weeks when you can best see the patten and disposition of a kitten.
Selection is done by pictures, video and or Facetime.
The first Bengal I saw was in a horse barn in Connecticut in 2012. I was awe struck by the beauty of this cat. I had to have one ASAP! The only cat I could find at the time was a pregnant female. I'm a registered nurse who worked for many years in Labor and Delivery, so birthing kittens came easy for me! I absolutely love raising kittens. Bengal kittens are my passion!
Your kitten will be vaccinated with Feline Rhinotracheitis - Calici-Panleukopenia Vaccine and dewormed with several different worming medications. Kittens are examined by the vet and neutered or spayed. Nails will be clipped.
Kittens come with 3 day warranty for viral diseases and a one year warranty for heredity and congenital defects,
Your kitten can be registered with TICA.
Your first purchase should be a carrier with a soft fleece pad or blanket. Lots of toys. My cats love a cat wheel. Ziggy Doo, One Fast Cat or Go Pet all are good wheels.
Here are some items that they will like, A 3 tier cat tree. Cats love high places. I find the carpeted are best, they will know this is for them and many have a scratching post. Placed them by a window so they can look out and the kitten will love you and the cat tree.
We recommend to take the kitten to the vet within 3 days after purchase to have the kitten vet checked. The kitten will have to go back to the vet at 16 weeks for his final vaccination. Best to make your appointment when you know the kitten will be coming home, appointments are hard to get and there is usually a long wait.
Our kittens go from mother's milk to a raw chicken diet. We follow a recipe by
Dr. Lisa Pierson, Catinfo.org
We have been feeding this raw diet for 12 years to our kittens and cats and they have thrived on it. If you don't want to feed raw a good quality canned food is also very acceptable. We never feed kibble. Raw food is sent home with you so the transition will be easy.
